Apple Coconut Cake
makes 12 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie
filling
- 3/4 cup chunky applesauce
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 (18 ounce) package yellow
cake mix
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sweetened
coconut
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
extract
Instructions:
- In a 3 or 4 quart slow
cooker, combine apple pie filling, applesauce, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and
mix well.
- In a medium bowl, combine
cake mix, coconut, butter, and vanilla, and mix well.
- Mixture will be crumbly.
- Spoon crumbly mixture over
apple mixture.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3
hours.
- This is wonderful served warm
with vanilla ice cream.
